Donatella Marraoni
Illustrator from Italy · 47 artworks
Donatella Marraoni is an Italian artist who began her journey at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia, graduating with honors in 1998. After moving to England for five years, she began exhibiting her work internationally, earning critical acclaim and numerous awards, including recognition from the Selenograd Gallery in 2014.
Central to Donatella's paintings are women, portrayed in scenes of love, passion, pain, and desire. Her distinctive style is marked by scratchy lines and the use of diverse materials such as oil, ink, glass, cement, and coffee.
Her works often honor her late father, a mason and her earliest supporter. Pieces like Letters of Coffee are dedicated to him, blending memories and emotions into her art. Since her first exhibition in 1997, she has showcased her work in galleries and museums worldwide, including her own gallery in Bevagna, Corso Matteotti.
